About Acid Gothic Books
I suppose I should tell you a little about myself if you don't know me. In 2007, I'm 54 years old and I've been obsessed with Fantasy and Science Fiction since the mid 1960's. Like many of my age group the Lancer Conans set the hook. I then quickly discovered Burroughs, Tolkien and most importantly H. P. Lovecraft. The first HPL I read was the atypical THE DREAM-QUEST OF UNKNOWN KADATH. I remember thinking at the time that H. P. Lovecraft HAD to be a pen name for some San Francisco acid head. A very strange book.
While working at a B. Dalton Bookseller in 1974 I discovered that Lovecraft was available in hardcover from Arkham House publishers. I ordered what was available and I still remember the thrill of receiving my first Arkham House books. I soon figured out that that many of the stories in my Arkham House books originally appeared in Weird Tales and other pulp magazines. In 1975 I was spending my paychecks on pulps.
After about thirty years I had completed my Weird Tales and Arkham House collections. An expensive undertaking but loads of fun. I'm still a book junkie and like most junkies I had to become a dealer to support my habit. Over the last ten years my book selling has been limited to eBay (eBay ID is acidgothic) and at several pulp/book conventions. The conventions I attend as a dealer are the Windy City Pulp and Paperback Show, Pulpcon and Pulp Adventurecon. All three shows are loads of fun and a gold mine for book and pulp collectors.
As I said, this will be a long process. I'm a two-fingered typist, so if you see some obvious typo please don't call the book police. Be a pal and let me know of the mistake. I'll check and double check but if you see a fine 1930 Weird Tales listed for $3.00, just let me know. Thanks.

I plan on letting people know about the site when I get about 500 books listed but I have 1000's of books. Feel free to inquire. I am also interested in buying books similar to ones I have listed. I probably won't be buying anymore paperbacks as I have about 7,000 fine SF/Fantasy paperbacks and I don't even know when I'll get around to listing them. I have to get through about 5000 hardcovers and pulps first.
Thanks to Karl Edward Wagner for "Acid Gothic".
Again, thanks for looking.
